2018 Music on Main Street Schedule

The Boulder Junction Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the 11th season of our summer music series, Music on Main Street.  Beginning June 20 through August 15 on Wednesday evenings, from 7pm to 9pm, area musicians will be performing outdoors on the stage next to Peeplelures on Main Street in Boulder Junction. The music performances are as follows:

June 20 – BMac. Brian Mclaughlin is a singer and guitarist who has worked as a professional musician in the Wisconsin area for the past 25 years. As a solo artist, Brian delivers a powerful and fun filled performance with hits from the 1970s through today. Brian achieved the honor of being the Wisconsin Area Music Industry’s 2015 Northwest Quadrant People’s Choice Music Teacher of the Year Award and Musician of the Year Award.

June 27 – Bret & Frisk. Bret & Frisk have been performing together throughout the Midwest and other parts of the country for the past 23 years. Their music ranges from a few hits of the 1950s all the way up to present day alternative rock/folk.

July 11 – Old Pine Road Band: A Northwoods Band if there ever was one, the Old Pine Road Band combines the hits of yesteryear with all the new tunes we know and love, to create a crowd-pleasing band with a touch of folk and soul, that’s sure to leave you entertained. 3rd Place Winner of the 2016 WHDG Hodag Country Fest Pick Off contest.

July 18 – Unified Soul: Established in 2000, this trio plays R&B, Funk, Soul, Smooth R&B, Jazz and a sprinkle of your Old Time Rock & Roll and Classic Rock favorites. Putting a smile on your face and a boogie in your shoes!

July 25 – Spotlight Polka Band. Spotlight Polka Band is comprised of talented musicians with lots of experience in having fun. They perform a wide variety of music for all tastes, specializing in polka and party music!

August 1– Double Barrel: Band from North Central Wisconsin dedicated to playing fun, high energy country music, also throwing in a curve ball from other genres like rock, and pop!

August 8 – Jack & Kitty: Emmy Award winning duo specializing in Organic Vaudeville and Jug Band Folk. Kitty is the niece of reggae legend Bunny Wailer (of Bob Marley and the Wailers) and Jack’s babysitter was ukulele oddball Tiny Tim.  RE/MAX Property Pros will be present at this Music on Main Street hosting a fundraising raffle for the Children’s Miracle Network.

August 15 – Mark Wayne: Playing his steel pedal slide guitar and featuring covers of Sinatra, Hank Williams, Elvis, George Jones, Marshall Tucker, Johnny Cash and more. This performance will be recorded by WXPR Public Radio and broadcast on air later in the week.

Come early to visit Boulder Junction’s shopping district and have a bite to eat before the music begins. The Alder Lake Cranberry Gift Shop will be hosting a wine tasting each Wednesday from 3pm to 6pm. Be sure to visit The Outdoorsman Restaurant’s special food tent across the street from the music featuring grab and go meals beginning at 6:30pm.

The event location has a grassy area for sitting or dancing.  Feel free to bring a lawn chair or blanket and enjoy an evening of Music on Main Street. In the case of inclement weather, we will move the music indoors to the Boulder Junction Community Center.
