Music on Main Street – Summer 2020
June 18, 2020
The Boulder Junction Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the 13th season of our summer music series, Music on Main Street, beginning July 1 through August 5 on Wednesday evenings, from 7pm to 9pm. Area musicians will be performing in a different location this year, outdoors at the Boulder Junction Community Center located on Highway M just south of Main Street, were there is ample space for social distancing.
We recognize the need for social interaction and want to give local and regional artists the opportunity to play live music this summer. We are asking all attendees to please be respectful and conscientious of social distancing. If at any time during the season, the Boulder Junction Chamber of Commerce feels this request is not being honored, we reserve the right to cancel future performances. A hand sanitizing table will be available, as well as restrooms. Please bring lawn chairs with you. The sitting area will consist of both pavement and grass. In the case of inclement weather, the event will be cancelled.
The music performances and dates are as follows:
July 1 – The Soul Inspirations featuring David Deon. Combining hot Southern Soul, jazz harmony and Latin rhythms, David Deon & The Soul Inspirations aim at the heart and mind. With performances that range from a romantic croon to bluesy wail to the sanctified holler.
July 8 – Bmac. Brian Mclaughlin is a singer and guitarist who has worked as a professional musician in the Wisconsin area for the past 25 years. As a solo artist, Brian delivers a powerful and fun filled performance with hits from the 1970s through today. Brian achieved the honor of being the Wisconsin Area Music Industry’s 2015 Northwest Quadrant People’s Choice Music Teacher of the Year Award and Musician of the Year Award.
July 15 – Older Budwiser. Older Budwiser is a three-piece band, from Central Wisconsin. Fronted by lead guitarist/singer Bryan Anderson, Older Budwiser, plays rockin’ blues and classic rock music.
July 22 – Bret & Frisk. Bret & Frisk have been performing together throughout the Midwest and other parts of the country for the past 25 years. Their music ranges from a few hits of the 1950s all the way up to present day alternative rock/folk.
July 29 – Troy Graham and Colton Ort with special guest Heather Evans. Old-time folk and bluegrass musicians from Marquette, MI. Singer songwriters, master vocal harmonies. Troy on guitar, Colton on harmonica and bones along with Heather on upright bass.
August 5– Flying Blind. Flying Blind is a group of veteran musicians in northern Wisconsin. A lot of what they play is classic rock but probably not what you’re used to hearing on oldies radio – “the songs you forgot you loved”.
We will also have two special Friday night performances with The Voice of Elvis, Clyde Masten – Friday, July 3 and Friday, September 4. From 7pm to 9pm, Clyde will be performing all Elvis hits at the Boulder Junction Community Center.
Come early to visit Boulder Junction’s shopping district and have a bite to eat before the music begins!
