Camp Manito-wish YMCA is hiring a Part-time year around Housekeeper to help maintain our beautiful camp property. Duties would include cleaning cabins post group departures.
This includes but is not limited to:
- Sweeping/Mopping floors
- Sanitizing Counters/Table Tops
- Disinfecting/Cleaning of Bathrooms/Showers
- Light trash/recycling pick-up

Counseling Staff: Opportunities for Male and Female Staff. Must have the right mindset for working with kids in an outdoor environment. Training provided.
Tripping Counselor: A great opportunity for those who love being on trail and teaching. This is where the magic of Manito-wish happens! Training provided.
Seasonal Housekeeper: Love Camp, but not looking to go on trail or work directly with campers? Come help keep our grounds clean and ready for use. Training provided.
Leadership Facilitator: Develop your leadership skills while facilitating team building, problem solving, challenge course activities, and going on trail. Summer & Fall positions available. Training provided.
Facilities and Grounds Assistant – Seasonal – Camp Jorn YMCA
The Facilities Assistant will work with our property manager with direction from the Camp Director and Executive Director. We need someone with the right mix of soft and hard skills. Determination and painting skills, patience and mowing skills, communication and repair skills etc.. We need to be able to work together to prevent and solve every type of complication that may happen at our big and beautiful youth development facility.
Assistant Skills needed
-Strong work ethic. With ability to self motivate and take initiative
-Team oriented individual, working towards our goal of youth development
-Ability take direction and communicate needs and concerns
-Commitment to our daily goals and to us for the entire season
-Adaptability; a work setting like this requires us to be very flexible. There will be a schedule daily and weekly tasks, but certain tasks may come up that need attention first.
-Embrace the surprises each day has for us. Hot weather, thunderstorms, mosquitoes, long physical days, etc.
Daily and Weekly tasks to include
-Prep camp for camper arrival with preparing equipment, moving outdoor furniture and gear,upkeep of interior and exterior of facilities.
-Inspection, restocking, and cleaning of bathrooms and buildings
-Grass and weed mowing and trimming
-Garbage and recycling disposal
-Basic repairs to camp equipment and building. Changing lights, fix window screens, bed repair..etc
-Safe use of our motorized equipment: Riding mower, Tractor, Gator utility vehicle, Pickup truck etc
-Help us find ways for you to show your other skills
-Assist Property manager in planning weekly goals and future projects to accomplish
-Repair, adjust and maintain water equipment: docks, sail boats, anchors, swim equipment
