25th Annual Harvest Fest – 2020
October 10 @ 10:00 am - 3:00 pm
This October the Boulder Junction Chamber and downtown businesses are hosting the 25th Annual Harvest Fest. With the health and well-being of our event attendees, volunteers, and businesses at top of mind, safety precautions are being taken and, therefore, the 25th year will be slightly different from what has taken place in past years. Here is what you can expect:
To start the celebration of Harvest, Boulder Junction businesses will be participating in a Scarecrow Decorating Contest in which the public is encouraged to vote for their favorite display. Images of the scarecrows will be posted on boulderjct.org October 9 through October 11, at which time those near and far can cast their vote. An award will be presented to the business with the highest number of votes on October 12. Show our small businesses your support, by casting your vote.
The 25th Annual Harvest Fest will take place on Saturday, October 10 from 10am to 3pm. Businesses will be open and Shop the Haystack will be up and running at Peeple’s Park. Shoppers who accumulate $35.00 or more in receipts from purchases made on October 10 at Boulder Junction businesses and take them to the haystack tent will receive a commemorative tote bag containing a gift certificate or donated item by Boulder Junction businesses. Tote bags are a limited printing, once they are gone – they’re gone.
Along Main Street, a half dozen vendors will be selling fall treats, pumpkins, gourds and other fall harvest décor. Granny Autumn will not be leading children to various activities throughout the day, but we still encourage kids to come dressed in costume and participate in the Harvest Hunt, a self-guided scavenger hunt, and game stops like Guess the Number of Acorns, Cranberries, Coffee Beans or Pumpkins. Harvest Hunt and Game Stop information can be picked up at the Shop the Haystack tent. Anyone completing the scavenger hunt that day from 10am-3pm, can return their completed Harvest Hunt card for a participation prize.
We look forward to hosting this year’s Harvest Fest and request that everyone do their part to follow safety guidelines. Face masks are required for coordinated vendors and volunteers, businesses have their own guidelines in place and the general public is strongly encouraged to wear masks and social distance.
