Boulder Junction Public Library Felted Dryer Ball Workshop

The Boulder Junction Public Library will be offering a Felted Dryer Ball Workshop with Darcy Lanz-Sage on Wednesday, May 14 from 10am to 12pm. Participation is free, but registration is required, and class size is limited to 15 people. The class will be held in the Boulder Junction Community Center.
Join Darcy in this workshop where you will make your own decorative, 100% wool, eco-friendly dryer balls. Fabric softeners and dryer sheets can be harmful to you and to the environment. An alternative method to softening your clothes is to use Wool Dryer Balls. Wool has anti-fungal and antibacterial properties, and dryer balls will dry your clothes a bit faster; thus, reducing the amount of electricity used! All materials will be provided. Participants will leave with 1 set (of 3) decorative dryer balls.
Darcy Lanz-Sage is an artist and art educator. She has been teaching art to people of all ages for over 40 years. Her interest in artmaking began at a very early age and her experience with different media is vast. Over the years, Darcy has participated in a variety of art fairs, shows, and exhibits and has sold items in numerous shops. She has been published in Cloth Paper Scissors Magazine, Quilting Arts Magazine, and Interweave’s special publication devoted to journal making, called PAGES.
Darcy is the mother of two daughters: “Bella” to three (soon to be four) grandchildren, and lives with her husband in Manitowish Waters. The Northwood’s has always held a special place in Darcy’s heart and she is very happy to now be calling it “Home”!
