The Northern Waters Genealogical Society invites you to their meeting at the Boulder Junction Community Center, 5392 Park Street. A business meeting will follow from 7-8 pm. There will also be an option to join the meeting via Zoom.

This month’s program is “Genealogist Turns Private Eye: Finding Living Relatives” with speaker Amie Bowser Tennant speaking virtually via Zoom. When you think of genealogy or family history, you might be thinking “dead People.” In reality , it’s often the living people who help you overcome your biggest obstacles in putting together your family tree. Whether you are adopted and looking for your birth family or just trying to get through the next brick wall, finding living relatives is key. Participants will learn all the tips for finding living family.

Amie Bowser Tennant is “The Genealogy Reporter” bringing genealogy news and more. She is a professional genealogist, nationally known speaker, and internationally known blogger. Amie provides blog and written content for many top companies and societies in the genealogy field. Some of her recent publications can be found in the NGS Magazine, the Ohio Genealogical Society News and the OGS Quarterly, and at Legacy News, just to name a few!

This program is free and open to the public. All persons interested in genealogy and family history, from beginner to advanced, are welcome to attend. For more information or for the Zoom link, please call 715-686-7339.
