Naturalist and Author, Emily Stone
July 17 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm
The Boulder Junction Public Library presents Naturalist and Author, Emily Stone on Monday, July 17 at 7 pm at the Boulder Junction Community Center, 5392 Park Street.
Do you also love finding adventure and intrigue in strange places? Join Naturalist and Author, Emily Stone, to be transported across the moat into a magical world where nature is better than fiction. Pioneers help each other eke out a living in the miniature, stained-glass world of a pitcher plant leaf. Tiny gardeners find donuts on the forest floor. A leaf miner grows up before your eyes. By using science to tell stories, Emily wields a magic that makes the whole world feel more alive.
Emily M. Stone is a naturalist by birth, training, profession and passion. As the Naturalist/Education Director at the Cable Natural History Museum in Cable, Wisconsin, Emily writes a weekly “Natural Connections” column published in more than a dozen local and regional newspapers. She has earned multiple Excellence in Craft awards from the Outdoor Writers Association of America. Emily’s two Natural Connections books will be available for sale and signing after the talk.
The program is free and open to the public and will be followed by a book signing with the author. Refreshments will be served. For questions and further information, please call the library at 715-385-2050 or email [email protected].
