Northern Waters Genealogical Society Meeting

The Northern Waters Genealogical Society invites you to their next meeting on Tuesday, June 7, 2022, 6-7 pm, at the Boulder Junction Community Center, 5392 Park Street. A business meeting will follow from 7-8 pm. There will also be an option to join the meeting via Zoom. This month’s program is “Canadian Ports of Entry,” a pre-recorded webinar with speaker Kathryn Lake Hogan. You know your ancestors came to North America from the Old Country, but you can’t find any records. Learn strategies for searching the available immigration, border crossing and ship passenger list websites on the Internet. Kathryn is an author, educator, speaker, and professional genealogist specializing in finding your ancestors in Canada. She is the owner of the Canadian-based genealogy business, Looking4Ancestors. The author of Digging Your Canadian Roots, as well as fifteen mini-research guides featuring Canadian genealogy, Kathryn has also written articles for Family Tree magazine, and The In-Depth Genealogist. Kathryn is the past Dominion Genealogist of the United Empire Loyalists’ Association of Canada, and a past Director-at-Large with the Association of Professional Genealogists. Currently, she is the Canadian virtual chat coordinator with the National Institute for Genealogical Studies, as well as one of the founding partners of The Great Canadian Genealogy Summit. A native of Ontario, Canada, Kathryn continues to reside there with her family.
