Outdoor Movie Night
July 25 @ 8:30 pm - 10:30 pm
The library invites you to attend Outdoor Movie Nights this summer. All family-friendly movies are FREE to the public and will be shown on a big screen in the grassy field behind the Boulder Junction Community Center. Seating will not be provided; please bring blankets or chairs. Free popcorn and lemonade will be provided, but outside snacks and refreshments are also allowed. Bug spray is advised.
The Tuesday, July 25 movie will be Minions: The Rise of Gru. Long before he becomes the master of evil, Gru is just a 12-year-old boy in 1970s suburbia, plotting to take over the world from his basement. When the infamous supervillain group, the Vicious 6, ousts their leader, Gru attempts to join their ranks but soon finds himself the mortal enemy of the apex of evil. With Gru on the run, the Minions attempt to learn martial arts to help save him, and Gru discovers that even bad guys need a little help from their friends. Packed with the franchise’s signature subversive humor, Minions: The Rise of Gru features more thrilling action than any Despicable Me film ever before. Starring Steve Carell, Alan Arkin, Michelle Yeoh, Jean-Claude Van Damme, and Lucy Lawless. Directed by Kyle Balda and Brad Ableson. The movie is rated PG and runtime is 90 minutes.
Outdoor movies are weather dependent. If the move must be canceled due to rain, it will be posted on the library’s Facebook page and website. Due to using shared equipment on a tight schedule, there will only be one alternate rain date if canceled due to poor weather. Admission, popcorn, and lemonade are free. Rain dates is July 27.
Not all movies will be appropriate for young children, please refer to movie ratings or read movie reviews. For questions and further information, please call the library at 715-385-2050 or email [email protected].
