Winter Wellness “Mindfulness and Qi Gong”  VIRTUAL

Looking for ways to stick to your New Year’s Resolutions? The Boulder Junction Public Library is offering a series of FREE informational presentations to help patrons learn ways to support their health and wellness this winter -and all year long. For the safety of our staff and patrons, all programs will be held online using Zoom and will be open to everyone.

The library will be hosting “Mindfulness and Qi Gong” with Dottie Reeder on Tuesday, February 23 from 2:30-3:30 pm via the Zoom meeting platform.  This event is co-sponsored with the Walter E. Olson Memorial Library in Eagle River.

Quieting the mind can be challenging and elusive. Qi Gong, an ancient system of moving meditation, offers tools and resources to find mindfulness through movement. Qi Gong is an ancient Chinese practice of meditation with synchronized  movements and breathing. Qi Gong is beneficial to one’s health and improvement of balance, body strength, and energy.

Dottie Reeder began practicing Qi Gong in 1990. Since then, she has practiced and learned under a variety of instructors and through many workshops.  She has taught qi gong practice for 10 years, which includes 6 years teaching for Nicolet College.
