Boulder Junction is a great fishing destination, and there are plenty of events for everyone, from beginners to experienced anglers.

Here are a few fishing-focused events you shouldn’t miss:

Free Fishing Seminars, through Aug. 27: These weekly programs, held by local guides at various locations throughout town, cover a variety of topics for anglers. See our event calendar for more information.

Learn to Fish Musky Workshop, Aug. 11: The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources is hosting this workshop at the Boulder Junction Community Center the same weekend as the town’s annual Musky Jamboree. The morning workshop is free of charge and will focus on musky biology, musky management, fishing techniques and more. In the afternoon, workshop participants are invited to go out fishing with a local guide, musky club member or Wisconsin DNR staff.

61st annual Musky Jamboree, Aug. 11-13: Celebrate everything musky at this annual event, which includes a Friday night street party, a fish fry cook off, a polka fest, a kids’ casting contest and much more. Find more info here.

41st annual  World Championship Musky Classic Fishing Tournament, Sept. 8-10: This fishing tournament—sponsored by Boulder Junction Presque Isle, Manitowish Waters and Winchester–is open to anglers of all ages and skill levels.
