SUMMARY:Trap Shooting for Women
DESCRIPTION:On Saturday\, June 13\, 2026 the Boulder Junction Shooting Range is offering a sixth introduction to trap shooting for women\, 18 years and older. \nThe program will start at 1:00 and last approximately 2 hours. We will begin with a discussion of gun safety and the rules for trap. We will then shoot some trap\, with club members providing individual instruction. No experience is necessary and there is no cost to participants. Guns and ammunition will be provided\, although participants are encouraged to bring their own shotgun if they have one. \nThe program is limited to 10 participants. To sign up or for more information contact Roger Jones by email or 715-617-2343. Advance sign up is required. The previous programs filled up quickly. \nTo avoid distractions\, participants are asked not to bring husbands\, boyfriends\, children\, or other spectators.

This course will be offered in four\nsessions. The sessions will be held on Sunday\, June 22\, Wednesday June 25 and Friday June 27\nfrom 5:00-8:00 and on Saturday\, June 28 from 9-1:00. In this course there is no internet\ncomponent and students are expected to attend all four sessions. The four sessions will involve\nhand-on activities with firearms\, as well as a discussion of important safety issues. The Saturday\nsession will include the written exam and Field Test. \nThe second opportunity involves the students taking an internet course\, and then attending the\nInternet Field Day which will be held on Saturday\, August 2. The Saturday meeting will be from\n9:00 until 3:00\, and will consist of hands on activities with firearms as well as a review of the\nmaterial from the Internet course. That will be followed by a written exam and a field test. \nInterested students can signup for either course on the DNR Go Wild site. They will need their\nDNR Customer Number.
