The largest ski jump on the American continent is located an east drive from Boulder Junction. You’ll find the jump just north of Ironwood, Michigan. Visitors can take the Adventure Ride to the top of this historic jump via an 800-foot chair lift ride and a 26-story elevator. From this vista, sitting 1000 feet above Lake Superior, visitors can see three states, and on a clear day, across Lake Superior into Canada.

Established in 1925, the Northern Highland American Legion (NHAL) State Forest is a vast public playground. It occupies more than 236,000 acres and has 900 lakes, 18 campgrounds, 11 hike/ski/snowshoe trails, 50 miles of paved bike trails, more than 100 remote/canoe campsites, 400 miles of snowmobile trails, three shooting ranges and several picnic areas.
