History of Moonshining in the Northwoods with Jim Bokern at Boulder Beer Bar

The presentation will begin at 6:00pm and run until roughly 7:30. This is a free event to attend so come grab a table or barstool, order some dinner and bask in some local history. Jim is going to take us back in time to learn about Moonshining and its effect on Vilas and surrounding counties. We’ll learn about the people, the process and many local sites around our area that served as stills, caches, and establishments where the shine was served.

Also included in the event we will have the wonderful folks from Northern Waters Distillery on hand to teach us about the modern moonshining process. Head Distiller, Jake Walish, will be teaching us about the current operations underway right down in Minocqua. We’ll be having some of the distillery’s Moonshines on hand that we’ll be tasting and sampling as Jake shares his knowledge with us. (Complements of BBB)!
