Boulder Junction biking tips

By Ben Jones

Boulder Junction is one of the best biking destinations in the Midwest. Here are some tips from an experienced biker that will ensure a great day on two wheels:

  • Dress in layers. This is a good idea in cooler weather. You’ll be better able to adjust your clothing to temperature changes if you are wearing layers.
  • Don’t forget the insect repellant. A little bit of precaution will keep you bite-free and comfortable on your next adventure.
  • Don’t get lost! Bring along maps, a compass, a gazetteer, and if possible a GPS unit. If you have an iPhone, download the free Map It Vilas County mobile app.
  • Bring something to drink! Be sure to consume plenty of water when you’re out on the trails.

Enjoy your ride!
