Cross-country trail spotlight: Madeline Lake Trail

Groomed and tracked for classic skiing. Variety of scenery. First half is cut over wooded forest land, second half is older timber. Winds around three lakes. Shelter and fire ring. Perfect for all classes of skiers. State trail pass is required for skiing. Pets allowed when there is no snow.

Length: 3, 3.5, 4.5 and 5.5 miles loops

Location: From Boulder Junction, follow Hwy M south to Hwy 51 south. Upon entering Woodruff, turn left on Hwy 47 go southeast 2 miles. Turn left on Hwy J and go 1 mile. Turn left onto Rudolph Road and go 1.75 miles to the trailhead.
