Chair Yoga for Seniors

The Boulder Junction Public Library will be offering a free Chair Yoga for Seniors Class with local yoga instructor, Dina Casso, on Saturday mornings from February 24 through April 6 but excluding March 23. Participation is free, but registration is required, and class size is limited to 20 people. The class will be held in the Boulder Junction Community Center.
Chair Yoga for Seniors will be held Saturdays from 9:00-10:00am. Chair yoga is derived from traditional yoga, and despite any limitations you may have, chair yoga can help you feel stronger and using your chair for seated poses or balancing poses allows you to take advantage of the many benefits yoga provides, such as increased circulation; feelings of well-being; and decreases in blood pressure, anxiety, inflammation, and chronic pain. What to bring: wear comfortable clothing, shoes may be worn for stability, 2 bath towels, chair cushion if additional support is needed, throw blanket, and water bottle.
