Discovery Center– Snowshoe Expedition: Toy Lake Swamp State Natural Area History with Jim Bokern

Join local historian, Jim Bokern, and a Discovery Center Naturalist on a fascinating hike through history in the Toy Lake Swamp SNA. We will explore the lives of the people that lived in this area over a century ago and walk in their footsteps. Discover old-growth trees blazed by pioneers from over 130 years ago featured on this hike. This is an off-trail, strenuous snowshoe hike about 3 miles in length.
When: January 20, 2024 1-4pm
Where: North Lakeland Discovery Center Trails
Admission: $24/member with or without snowshoes, $30/non-member, $35/non-member plus snowshoes *registration required by 1/18/24*
