North Lakeland Discovery Center: Hiking Ecology Expedition- Plum Lake Hemlocks Hike

May 2 @ 10:30 am - 5:00 pm

Join local historian Jim Bokern and Naturalist Jenna Richardson on a fascinating hike through history in the Plum Lake Hemlocks Forest State Natural Area. We will explore the Milwaukee Road Railroad, state leased land and the people that lived in this area over a century ago and walk in their footsteps. This is an off trail, moderately strenuous 4-5 mile hike with one wetland crossing.  Participants should meet hike leaders at the trailhead at 10:30am.

Bring lunch and water.  Registration is required by 4/30/2024.  Registered participants will receive an email with more information prior to the hike including directions to the trailhead (near Sayner, WI).  Thursday 10:30 AM – 5 PM.  $50/Non-Member, $40/Member (NLDC or MWHS).
