Each of the following Manitowish River trips has a combination of lakes and river stretches. The Manitowish River flows 44 miles from High Lake to the Flambeau Flowage. There are three portages on the slow flowing river. Beginners as well as the avid paddler can enjoy the scenic beauty of the Manitowish River.

These trips take approximately 3-5 hours (each section is a day trip) and have one put in & one take out point, that will require a shuttle.

-High Lake to Fishtrap Dam
-Fishtrap Dam to Hwy H & K
-Highway H & K to Island Lake
-Island, Spider, Rest Lake
-Rest Lake Dam to Hwy 47
-Hwy 47 to Murray’s Landing on the Turtle Flambeau Flowage
-Nixon Creek to Fishtrap Dam (2-3 hours)
