Musky Jamboree weekend is a fun 3-day event in Northern Wisconsin with different activities happening throughout the weekend. Below is the schedule for Boulder Junctions 2024 Musky Jamboree weekend.
8:30am-Finish: DNR Learn to Fish Musky Workshop at the Community Center. Public is welcome to attend the morning workshop, FREE OF CHARGE. Individuals who have registered in advance and are selected to fish with a mentor will be provided a lunch and spend the afternoon on the water. Little or no musky fishing experience preferred for afternoon fishing. Maximum 12-15 participants will be accepted for afternoon fishing. However, all are welcome to the morning workshop class course. 10am-12:30pm: Check in for the first Annual Musky Capital of the World Musky Fishing Tournament. Check-in tent will be at the Boulder Junction Chamber of Commerce, 5352 Park Street. You can schedule alternate check in arrangements by contacting Bob Bertch, (715) 892-2366.
1pm-8pm: Fishing for the Musky Tournament on designated lakes.
7pm to 10pm: Street Party with live music by Hip Pocket. The block on the east end of Main Street between Coontail and Sauter Builders/the Post Office will be blocked off for the event. Lawn chairs are recommended. Beverages will served by American Legion Post 451.
7am-5pm: Fishing for the Musky Tournament takes place on designated lakes. No submissions will be accepted after 5pm.
8am: 5K & 10K Musky Fun Run. The day will begin at the Boulder Junction Sports and Recreation Park with the 5K & 10K Musky Fun Run as well as a 1K & 100-yard dash kids race. Check-in and walk in registration from 7am-7:45am and the race begins at 8am.
Registration for the Musky Fun Run will close on Thursday, August 8 at 12noon. Online registration is highly encouraged. Walk-in registration is between 7am-7:45am on race day.
11am-3pm: Boulder Junction Historical Society History Day at the Community Center. BBQ & brat sale, bake sale, raffles, and kid’s coloring contest.
6pm: Awards announced for the Fishing Tournament at the Boulder Beer Bar.
6am-4pm: Main Street/Hwy M South of Town CLOSED to all vehicles, including bikes, motorcycles & skateboards. Shuttle buses will be running this year at designated drop off and pick-up locations. Golf cart shuttle service will also be available within the barricaded area.
9am-3pm: 32nd Annual Musky Jamboree Car Show, at Highway M North around the Veteran’s Triangle. This show is an opportune chance for new and experienced competitors to shine. Voting will take place between 9:oo and 1:oopm. Car Show awards will be announced at 2:00pm.
9am-3pm: Arts & Crafts Show. Over 100 artists and crafters fill Main Street and Hwy M South at our Musky Jamboree Arts & Crafts Show. This show includes fine art, jewelry, wood-worked pieces, and many other handcrafted items.
Additionally, the Lions Club Flea Market will be held on the Community Center grounds. Local service groups and area restaurants will line the streets with food and beverage concessions.
Be sure to bring the family over to the Kid’s Zone on Highway M South by the Boulder Bear Motor Lodge.
10am-1:30pm: Kid’s Casting Contest. In The Musky Capital of the World®, fishing takes center stage with a Kids Casting Contest. All children ages 6 to 14 are encouraged to show off their casting skills and compete for prizes. Prizes awarded at 2:15pm.
10am-2pm: Musky Day Fly-In. Held at the Payzer Memorial Field located 2 miles north of Main Street on Airport Road. Stop by to watch a numerous colorful planes of all varieties take off and land at the airport near Boulder Lake.
2:00pm: Musky Jamboree Car Show Awards and Fishing Tournament Winners announced at Veteran’s Memorial and the Boulder Beer Bar.
2:15pm: Kid’s Casting Contest Awards announced by Car Show at Highway M North and Main Street.
Musky Jamboree will end at 3pm on Sunday.
