Winter Trail Spotlight: The Glide Ice Skating Ribbon

The first of its kind in Wisconsin, The Glide is a 0.8-mile ice skating loop at Boulder Junction’s Winter Park that circles the park and offers scenic views of the surrounding Northern Highland-American Legion State Forest, one of Vilas County’s (and northern Wisconsin’s) natural gems. There is also a sledding hill along with a lighted ice skating rink and warming hut. Pets are welcome! A selection of skates on-site are free to use, and rentals are also available at Coontail in downtown Boulder Junction. Winter Park is open from 10am-10pm.
