Start your day Northwoods exploration with a pick-me-up at Boulder Junction Coffee Company where you’ll find fresh-brewed Colectivo coffee, espresso and tea, as well as and breakfast and lunch items.  Their breakfast burritos are a great way to fuel up before heading out on the trails, or stop by to try their grilled cheese sandwiches made with locally sourced cheese.


Head to downtown Boulder Junction to find Mad Dog Jake’s, which offers burgers, cheese curds, and the some of the best Chicago dogs in the Northwoods!


Looking for fine dining? Head downtown to The Guide’s Inn, home to delicious dishes including veal, hand-cut steaks, pasta and pan-fried walleye. Smokey’s, located in nearby Manitowish Waters, offers diners a “casually elegant dining experience” with a menu that features steaks, chops, seafood and other house specialties.
