Boulder Junction’s Musky Jamboree
Join us for the 67th Annual Musky Jamboree August 9th-11th.

 

 

Musky Jamboree weekend is a fun 3-day event in Northern Wisconsin with different activities happening throughout the weekend. Below is the schedule for Boulder Junctions 2024 Musky Jamboree weekend. 

8:30am-Finish: DNR Learn to Fish Musky Workshop at the Community Center. Public is welcome to attend the morning workshop, FREE OF CHARGE. Individuals who have registered in advance and are selected to fish with a mentor will be provided a lunch and spend the afternoon on the water. Little or no musky fishing experience preferred for afternoon fishing. Maximum 12-15 participants will be accepted for afternoon fishing. However, all are welcome to the morning workshop class course. 10am-12:30pm: Check in for the first Annual Musky Capital of the World Musky Fishing Tournament. Check-in tent will be at the Boulder Junction Chamber of Commerce, 5352 Park Street. You can schedule alternate check in arrangements by contacting Bob Bertch, (715) 892-2366.

1pm-8pm: Fishing for the Musky Tournament on designated lakes.

7pm to 10pmStreet Party with live music by Hip Pocket. The block on the east end of Main Street between Coontail and Sauter Builders/the Post Office will be blocked off for the event. Lawn chairs are recommended. Beverages will served by American Legion Post 451.

7am-5pm: Fishing for the Musky Tournament takes place on designated lakes. No submissions will be accepted after 5pm.

9am: 5K & 10K Musky Fun Run. The day will begin at the Boulder Junction Sports and Recreation Park with the 5K & 10K Musky Fun Run as well as a 1K & 100-yard dash kids race.  Check-in and walk in registration from 8am-8:45am and the race begins at 9am.

Registration for the Musky Fun Run will close on Thursday, August 8 at 12noon. Online registration is highly encouraged. Walk-in registration is between 8am-8:45am on race day.

11am-3pmBoulder Junction Historical Society History Day at the Community Center. BBQ & brat sale, bake sale, raffles, and kid’s coloring contest.

6pm: Awards announced for the Fishing Tournament at the Boulder Beer Bar.

8am-5pmMain Street/Hwy M South of Town CLOSED to all vehicles, including bikes, motorcycles & skateboards. Shuttle buses will be running this year at designated drop off and pick-up locations. Golf cart shuttle service will also be available within the barricaded area.

9am-3pm: 32nd Annual Musky Jamboree Car Show, at Highway M North and Main Street. This show is an opportune chance for new and experienced competitors to shine. Voting will take place between 9:oo and 1:oopm. Car Show awards will be announced at 2:00pm.

9am-3pmArts & Crafts Show. Over 100 artists and crafters fill Main Street and Hwy M South at our Musky Jamboree Arts & Crafts Show. This show includes fine art, jewelry, wood-worked pieces, and many other handcrafted items.

Additionally, the Lions Club Flea Market will be held on the Community Center grounds. Local service groups and area restaurants will line the streets with food and beverage concessions.

Be sure to bring the kiddos over to the Kid’s Zone on Highway M South by the Boulder Bear Motor Lodge.

10am-2pmKid’s Casting Contest. In The Musky Capital of the World®, fishing takes center stage with a Kids Casting Contest from 10am-2:00pm. All children ages 5 to 14 are encouraged to show off their casting skills and compete for prizes. Prizes awarded at 2:15pm.

10am-2pm: Musky Day Fly-In. Held at the Payzer Memorial Field located 2 miles north of Main Street on Airport Road. Stop by to watch a numerous colorful planes of all varieties take off and land at the airport near Boulder Lake.

2:00pm: Musky Jamboree Car Show Awards and Fishing Tournament Winners announced at Veteran’s Memorial and the Boulder Beer Bar.

2:15pm: Kid’s Casting Contest Awards announced by Car Show at Highway M North and Main Street.

Musky Jamboree will end at 3pm on Sunday.

Musky Fun Run – Saturday, August 10, 2024 – Beginning at  9:00am

2024 Race Results 

Divisions and Awards:

  • 5K Run/Walk: Individuals: Medals will be awarded to the top three males and top three females in each of the following age categories: 12 & under, 13-16, 17-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59, 60-69, 70+. Award plaques will be presented to the top male and top female overall.
  • 10K Run/Walk: Individuals: Medals will be awarded to the top three males and top three females in each of the following age categories: 12 & under, 13-16, 17-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59, 60-69, 70+. Award plaques will be presented to the top male and top female overall.
  • Kid’s Races (10 and under): 1K and 100-yard dash. Medals will be awarded to the top 2 finishers in the 1K and 100-yard dash plus a participation prize to each entrant.

Registration Fee: 

5K & 10K Rate: $30 pre-registration

5K & 10K Rate: $35 walk-in registration

1K & 100yd dash Kids Races: Free (no t-shirt)

Registration will close on Thursday, August 8th at 12noon. Online registration in highly encouraged.

Musky Jamboree Arts & Crafts Show – Sunday, August 11, 2024 – 9am-3pm

2024 marks the 67th Annual Musky Jamboree in Boulder Junction, WI. Musky Jamboree Arts and Crafts Show is the biggest draw of the Musky Jamboree.  We always look forward to hosting a spectacular array of original arts and crafts at the event.

Over 100 artists fill Main Street and Hwy M South at our Musky Jamboree Arts & Crafts Show including furniture, fine art, jewelry and many other handcrafted items. Additionally, the Lions Club Flea Market will be held on the Community Center grounds. Local service groups and area restaurants will line the streets with food and beverage concessions.

Current Arts & Crafts Show Guidelines:

  • Booths will be in clusters of 4 on Main Street and on Hwy M.
  • Vendors are required to have sides (if directly next to another vendor) and backs on their tents, so, they are separated from other booths. All booths will be corner booths and open on two sides.
  • Any food products must be prepackaged.

Musky Jamboree Car Show – Sunday, August 11, 2024

Location: Highway M North and Main Street (Veteran’s Memorial Triangle and Mad Dog Jake’s)

Parking Begins:  8am

Show Times:  9am to 3pm

Trophy Presentation:  2:00pm

1st, 2nd & 3rd place winners in all classes.
Overall People’s Choice Best of Show Award – Voted on by the public
Kid’s Choice Award – Voted on by the public
Best of Show Award -Voted on by entrants

Entry Fee: $15.00 per vehicle. Registration opens May 13,2024. Mailed registrations must be post marked by Monday, August 5, 2024. DAY OF REGISTRATION OPEN THIS YEAR.  To register download a registration form click here, or stop by the Boulder Junction Chamber of Commerce during operating hours to receive a copy.

ALL entries include dash plaque, goody bag & entry into door prize drawing.
One class per vehicle registration form. No refunds.

Current Car Show Guidelines:

  • Pre-registration and DAY OF registration this year.
  • Pre-registrants will be a mailed window tag to show they are registered.
  • After parking vehicles, all registrants must check-in at the registration tent to retrieve a voting ballot and goody bag.

Musky Capital of the World Musky Tournament – Friday, August 9-Saturday, August 10

The Musky Capital of the World is excited to announce their first annual Musky Tournament during Musky Jamboree Weekend!

  • This is a catch and release 2-person team Musky Tournament.
  • Anglers must follow all applicable rules set forth by Wisconsin DNR for the lakes they are fishing as well as all State of Wisconsin boating laws.
  • Registration opens May 1, 2024. All registration must be completed through FishDonkey. All tournament entries will be submitted through FishDonkey.
  • Tournament cost is $150 per two person team plus any applicable processing fees.
  • Any angler under the age of 18 must have a parent or guardian sign for them.
  • Official rules can be found on BoulderJct.org.
  • All anglers must check in from 10:00am-12:30pm on Friday, August 9 at the tournament tent in the Boulder Junction Chamber of Commerce parking lot to receive the official tournament bump board, a copy of the rules, and a list of eligible lakes. Teams who do not check in during this time or who do not make alternate arrangements to check in will be disqualified.
  • Tournament hours will be 1:00pm to 8:00pm Friday, August 9 and 7:00am to 5:00pm Saturday, August 10. Muskies caught outside this timeframe or on lakes not part of the tournament will be disqualified.
  • Each Musky caught and registered must be at least the 36 inch minimum length.
  • Teams may register multiple Muskies but only the two largest will count towards the final score.
  • All fish submitted must be clearly pictured on the tournament provided bump board. The entire fish from tip to tail must be clearly seen in the photo. Muskies will be measured to the nearest quarter inch.
  • Photos must be submitted through the FishDonkey app.
  • In the case of a tie, the largest of the two Muskies will determine the winner. If a tie still exists, the earliest registration time of the largest Muskies will determine the winner.
  • Winners will be posted online after fishing hours are completed.
  • Top three winning teams will be announced Saturday evening at 7:00pm at Boulder Beer Bar as well as during the Musky Jamboree award announcements on Sunday, August 11 in the ‘triangle’.
  • Prizes will be awarded as followed:
    • 1st place team: $1,000 and plaques
    • 2nd place team: $500 and plaques
    • 3rd place team: $300 and plaques
  • These prizes are based on 50 teams. Prizes will be prorated if fewer teams register.
  • Winners are responsible for any applicable taxes on their winnings.
