Birdwatching Hotspot: Lumberjack Trail

This excellent trails system provides a dozen miles of birding opportunity. Bald eagle, ruffed grouse and woodcock sightings are fairly common. A wide variety of lowland and upland settings makes this a great place for a walk as well as seeing a variety of wildlife. Pets allowed.
Length: Green Trail– 2.94 miles / Blue Trail- 4.57 miles / Red Trail – 5.86 miles
Location: From Boulder Junction, continue east on Old Hwy K approximately 1 mile to Concora Road where you will find the parking area to access the Blue/Green Trails. Access directly to the Red Trail is also available at the trailhead off Hwy K, by following Hwy M south about 2 miles to Hwy K and turning east.
