Summer Camps in the Boulder Junction Area

Northwoods youth summer camps create memories that last a lifetime. Summer camp has been a part of local history since the early days of tourism in this region in Northern Wisconsin. Below are three camps that bring the wilderness alive and build character in youths from near and far.

Camp Jorn YMCA

Camp Jorn YMCA, located on a 70+ acre peninsula on Rest Lake in Manitowish Waters, places a strong emphasis on providing a memorable & impactful experience for the campers & families.  Camp Jorn offers programming for ages 3 months to 16 years; programming includes child care, day camp, family camp & resident camp.

Camp Manito-wish YMCA

Located within in Boulder Junction on the shores of Boulder Lake, Camp Manito-wish has been committed to helping youth build character, embrace traditional values and cultivate leadership skills since 1919. Summer programs include: 3-week program for 5th-12th grade children and 14-55 day for youth 9th-12th grade ages. Family camp 4 & 6-day programming is offered each summer, as well, including special weekend programs.

Red Arrow Camp

Red Arrow Camp is a 7-week camp for boys 7-16 years of age, located in Woodruff, WI. off of Day Lake Road. This camp was established in 1920 and located on the site of an 1800’s logging camp on beautiful Trout Lake. Red Arrow is a traditional, rustic, full-term camp that runs end of June to mid-August that focuses on skill development and personal growth.
