Cross-country trail spotlight: Raven Trail

Groomed and tracked for classic skiing. The majority of this trail runs through an area logged years ago, although some has been logged recently. The trail winds past both Clear and Inkpot lakes. There are a couple of steep hills. Most of the trail is an intermediate level. There is also a four mile expert trail. A shelter with fire ring can be found on the trail. State trail pass is required for skiing. Pets allowed when there is no snow, except on the nature trail.
Length: 1.5, 2.5, 3.5 and 5 miles loops
Location: From Boulder Junction, follow Hwy M south to Hwy 51 south. Upon entering Woodruff, turn left on Hwy 47 go southeast 2 miles. Turn left on Hwy J and go 1 mile. Turn right onto Woodruff Road and continue to the Raven Trail sign approximately .5 miles.
