Winter is just around the corner, but there are plenty of ways to stay warm in Boulder Junction—like with a hearty meal at one of our welcoming restaurants. Here are a few that you shouldn’t miss on your next trip to northern Wisconsin.

Aqualand Ale House
Aqualand Ale House is known for its wide selection of craft beer (the most in the Northwoods, according to the restaurant’s website), and it’s also a great place to warm up and enjoy a filling meal in downtown Boulder Junction. Aqualand is well-known for its brick oven pizzas (try the Porketta, which has spit-braised pulled pork, bacon, giardiniera, and mushrooms), but diners can also enjoy dishes like the Walleye Sandwich or the Antipasto Wrap.
Boulder Beer Bar
Boulder Beer Bar, which recently changed ownership and is now run by the owners of Aberdeen Restaurant & Bar in nearby Manitowish Waters, offers patrons a full menu of sandwiches, pizza, wings, and homemade soup, as well as a full bar and games for adults and kids alike.
Razz’s on the River
Discover this reinvented Northwoods legacy, Razz’s on the River. Overlooking the Manitowish River on County Highway M just north of downtown Boulder Junction, Razz’s is open year-round and has a menu that features specialty sandwich’s, craft cocktails, and a daily fish fry.
Gooch’s 2 Bar & Grill
This Boulder Junction institution is located about 3 miles north of downtown and is a popular destination for its famous Broasted Chicken (available for dine-in or takeout). Other entrees include St. Louis BBQ Ribs, specialty burgers and sandwiches, a Friday night fish fry and prime rib on Saturday nights.
Wild’s Granary
Another popular breakfast and lunch spot in downtown Boulder Junction, Wild’s Granary serves up can’t-miss specials like Pumpkin Spice Latte Waffles and Lemon Poppyseed French Toast, as well as homemade desserts.
