What is your favorite Boulder Junction event?
- Amanda Chartrand, marketing manager, Boulder Junction Chamber of Commerce: “My favorite event that we do here is the White Deer Triathlon. I really enjoy all the participants; they are so happy and appreciative, they love being in the beauty of Boulder Junction and enjoying their time.”
- Carol Ashley, owner, Northern Highland Sports: “I like Christmas Walk. Never in my wildest dreams would I have thought you could get people to come out in the evening, in all kinds of weather, but people love it!”
- Dennis Duke, president, Boulder Junction ATV/UTV Club: “My favorite event from an ATV perspective is Musky Jamboree. We get to shuttle people around in our UTV’s all day long and its really fun, you meet a lot of nice people.”
- Larry Voss, owner, Boulder Beer Bar: “I am going to go with Musky Jamboree. They close the street down, we do something special out front here, and I enjoy seeing the car show and all the different people coming in.”
- Blake Borgstede, owner, Boulder Beer Bar: “Music on Main Street is one of my favorites as a music buff myself. Those Wednesday nights are pretty special, live music in general when you are not paying for it is a great thing.”
- Ian Brown, owner, Boulder Jct. Brewing. Co: “There are a couple that we really like, one of them being the Lions Club Colorama Dinner at Camp Manito-wish that benefits a bunch of youth organizations. It brings people in from the community and they get to see the beautiful camp property.”
- Erv Keller, owner, Erv Keller Guide Service: “Music on Main Street because it gives back to the people who come and spend money here.”
- Bill Karaffa, owner, Firemouth Pottery & Gallery: “There are a lot of fun events but I’d prefer to pick a time, the fall season. It is a spectacular time of year.”
- Sandy Sterner, office assistant, Boulder Junction Chamber of Commerce: “The Musky Jamboree is my favorite. I was here for the very first one that goes back to the 50’s. In those days it was an entire musky meal back by the ball fields.”
- Matt Ashley, owner, Northern Highland Sports: “I really like Wednesdays. We have things going on all day and Music on Main Street is great, it’s always nice to hear live music echoing downtown. Before music we have Guide on the Side free fishing seminars hosted by our local guides. I think that’s a great service for people looking and expands across generations.”
- Mary Jones, executive director, Boulder Junction Chamber of Commerce: “Boulder Junction has so many great events all year long but I think my favorite event is Christmas Walk. It is just such a magical way to welcome the holiday season to Boulder Junction. With Santa coming to town, all of the families and little kids lining up to see him, the cookie walk; it’s a perfect way to start the holidays.”
