Boulder Junction’s 2021 Musky Jamboree
August 6-8, 2021.

Boulder Junction is moving forward with careful planning of our 2021 Musky Jamboree and we couldn’t be more excited for the return of our signature event this summer!

 

The schedule posted below is our traditional Musky Jamboree weekend and some aspects of it may be changed to comply with recommended COVID-19 safety guidelines. We care about your safety.

General COVID-19 Safety Protocols:

  • Social distancing is highly recommended.
  • The layout of the arts and crafts show, along with the car show will be spaced out to allow attendees more room while shopping and viewing.
  • Face masks are highly recommended and will be worn by volunteers.
  • Additional hand sanitizing stations will be placed throughout the event.
  • Attendees, vendors, registered event participants and volunteers should not attend if feeling sick in any way or have been around. anyone sick or tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 14 days.
  • Other precautions are being taken to ensure a safe environment for our attendees and community.

Musky Jamboree weekend will be a 3-day event – Friday, August 6 thru Sunday, August 8.

 

 

8:30am-12:00pm: DNR Learn to Fish Musky Workshop (DNR is still reviewing guidelines, workshop TBD)at the Community Center. Public is welcome to attend the morning workshop, FREE OF CHARGE. Individuals who have registered in advance and are selected to fish with a mentor will be provided a lunch and spend the afternoon on the water. Little or no musky fishing experience preferred for afternoon fishing. Maximum 12-15 participants will be accepted.

7pm to 10:30pmStreet Party with live music by Hip Pocket. This year’s location is outside of the Community Center which will allow attendees to spread out more. Lawn chairs are recommended. Beverages will served by American Legion Post 451.

8am: Musky Fun Run.(Committee is still reviewing guidelines, Fun Run TBD) The day will begin at the Boulder Junction Baseball Park with the Musky Fun Run 5k and 10k race along with Kid’s 1k and 100 yard dash. Check-in is from at 7am-7:45am and the race begins at 8am.

11am-3pmBoulder Junction Historical Society History Day at the Community Center. Free admission from 11am-2:30pm. Historical presentation and more (topic and presenter to be announced). Proceeds benefit Boulder Junction Area Historical Society. Donations appreciated. Historical Museum and Depot tours available.

3pm-6pm: Best Fish Fry Cook-Off (Committee is still reviewing guidelines, Fish Fry event TBD) at various downtown locations. Taste & vote for your favorite fish fry. No charge. Live music (TBD) & beverages served by the Boulder Junction Lion’s Club. Vote for the best Fish Fry! Fish Fry and voting from 3pm-5pm, People’s Choice and Judge’s Choice awards at 5:30pm, music and beverages until 6pm.

7pm-10pm: Live Music at Aqualand Alehouse. Live music line-up to be announced. 

8am-5pmMain Street/Hwy M South of Town CLOSED to all vehicles, including bikes, motorcycles & skateboards. Shuttle busses will not be running this year, however, wagon rides will be available at designated drop of and pick-up locations. Golf carts will be available.

9am-3pm: 29th Annual Musky Jamboree Car Show, at Highway M North and Main Street. This show is an opportune chance for new and experienced competitors to shine. Car Show awards will be announced at 2:30pm.

9am-4pmArts & Crafts Show. Over 100 artists fill Main Street and Hwy M South at our Musky Jamboree Arts & Crafts Show including furniture , fine art, jewelry and many other handcrafted items.

Additionally, the Lions Club Flea Market will be held on the Community Center grounds. Local service groups and area restaurants will line the streets with food and beverage concessions.

Be sure to bring the kiddos over to the Kid’s Zone on Highway M South by the Boulder Bear Motor Lodge. Kid’s Zone rides and games will include: Bungee Jump, Shoot & Shower Basketball Game, Goldfish Toss and Train Rides.

10am-2pmKid’s Casting Contest (Committee is still reviewing guidelines, Casting Contest TBD). In The Musky Capital of the World®, fishing takes center stage with a Kids Casting Contest from 10am-2:00pm. All children ages 5 to 14 are encouraged to show off their casting skills and compete for prizes at the West end of Main Street near the Car Show.  Prizes awarded at 2:15pm.

Be sure to stop by the Meet the Guides Booth located next to the Kids Casting Contest area for tips on fishing and to meet some of the local guides.

10am-2pm: Musky Day Fly-In. Held at the Payzer Memorial Field located 2 miles north of Main Street, watch the numerous colorful planes of all varieties take off and land at the airport on Boulder Lake.

10am-2pm: Entertainment and Presentations on the east end of Main Street. Detailed schedule to be announced.

2:15pm: Kid’s Casting Contest Awards (Committee is still reviewing guidelines, Casting Contest TBD) announced by Car Show at Highway M North and Main Street.

2:30pm: Musky Day Car Show Awards

The Musky Jamboree will end at approximately 4pm on Sunday. 

Musky Fun Run – Saturday, August 7, 2021 – Beginning at  8:00am

COVID-19 update: Currently we are not able to obtain a DNR special event permit for the Ball Park (start and finish of the race) or the course on public land for an event over 50 people, which includes participants and volunteers. We will keep informed of the changes to the event permit restrictions. If the number of people permitted does not increase by June, the Fun Run will likely not take place in 2021.

Divisions and Awards:

  • 5K Run/Walk: Individuals: Medals will be awarded to the top three males and top three females in each of the following age categories: 12 & under, 13-16, 17-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59, 60-69, 70+. Award plaques will be presented to the top male and top female overall.
  • 10K Run/Walk: Individuals: Medals will be awarded to the top three males and top three females in each of the following age categories: 12 & under, 13-16, 17-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59, 60-69, 70+. Award plaques will be presented to the top male and top female overall.
  • Kid’s Races (10 and under): 1K and 100-yard dash. Medals will be awarded to the top 2 finishers in the 1K and 100-yard dash plus a participation prize to each entrant.

Preregistration Fee (no walkin registrations in 2021):
5K & 10K Early Bird until July 31: $25
5K & 10K Standard Rate – August 1-5: $30
1K & 100yd dash Kids Races: Free

Registration Includes:

  • Cotton Unisex T-shirt (5K & 10K only)

Musky Jamboree Arts & Crafts Show – Sunday, August 8, 2021 – 9am-4pm

2021 marks the 64th Annual Musky Jamboree in Boulder Junction, WI.  The Arts and Crafts Fair has and will be the biggest draw of the Musky Jamboree.  We look forward to hosting a spectacular array of original arts and crafts at this year’s event.

Over 100 artists fill Main Street and Hwy M South at our Musky Jamboree Arts & Crafts Show including furniture , fine art, jewelry and many other handcrafted items. Additionally, the Lions Club Flea Market will be held on the Community Center grounds. Local service groups and area restaurants will line the streets with food and beverage concessions.

Arts & Crafts Vendors: Apply online or download the form and mail in.

Current Arts & Crafts Show COVID-19 Safety Protocols

  • Booths will be in clusters of 4 with 15’ walkways on Main Street and 20’ walkways on Hwy M.
  • Vendors are required to have sides (if directly next to another vendor) and backs on their tents, so, they are separated from other booths. All booths will be corner booths and open on two sides.
  • FACE MASKS ARE RECOMMENDED when social distancing is not possible and/or customers are inside booth or processing transactions.
  • Social distancing is recommended. We are doing our best to spread the show out so that this is easier for attendees to do so.
  • Chamber will provide hand sanitizer stations throughout the event for attendees. Hand sanitizer in vendor booths is optional.
  • No vendors may sample food.
  • Any food products must be prepackaged.
  • Vendors should not attend if feeling sick in any way or have been around anyone sick or tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 14 days.

Musky Jamboree Car Show – Sunday, August 8, 2021

Location: Highway M North and Main Street (Veteran’s Memorial Triangle by the Boulder Beer Bar)

Parking Begins:  8:00am

Show Times:  9:00am to 3:00pm

Trophy Presentation:  2:30pm

1st, 2nd & 3rd place winners in all classes.
Overall People’s Choice Best of Show Award – voted on by the public
Kid’s Choice Award – voted on by the public
Best of Show Award – voted on by entrants

All award trophies are sponsored by O’Reilly Auto Parts.

2021 Musky Jamboree Car Show Registration Form

Entry Fee: $15.00 per vehicle. Preregistration only. Mailed registrations must be post marked by Wednesday, July 28. No day of registration will be permitted.
Capacity limited to 100 vehicles. No refunds.
ALL entries include dash plaque, goody bag & entry into door prize drawing
One class per vehicle registration form.

Current Car Show COVID-19 Safety Protocols

  • Cars will be parking with extra spacing to allow attendees to sit by their cars and still social distance.
  • Preregistration only this year. Entries limited to 100 vehicles.
  • Registrants will be a mailed window tag to show they are registered.
  • Volunteers parking cars will present registrants with the voting ballot, pencil and goodie bag upon entering show.
