We care about your safety are planning the Musky Jamboree with the following COVID-19 safety protocols:
- The layout of the arts and crafts show, along with the car show will be spaced out to allow attendees more room while shopping and viewing.
- Additional hand sanitizing stations will be placed throughout the event.
- Shuttle busses will not be running this year. Golf carts rides for those who need them inside the event will be available.
- Other precautions are being taken to ensure a safe environment for our attendees and community.

Musky Jamboree weekend will be a 3-day event – Friday, August 6 thru Sunday, August 8.
8:30am-12:00pm: DNR Learn to Fish Musky Workshop at the Community Center. Public is welcome to attend the morning workshop, FREE OF CHARGE. Individuals who have registered in advance and are selected to fish with a mentor will be provided a lunch and spend the afternoon on the water. Little or no musky fishing experience preferred for afternoon fishing. Maximum 12-15 participants will be accepted for afternoon fishing. 1:00pm – 4:00pm: 75th Anniversary of the Wisconsin DNR Northern Highland Fishery Research Area Open House at the Escanaba Lake Check Station (9588 Nebish Lake Road, Plum Lake 54560). The public is encouraged to attend and learn about the 75-year history of this fisheries research project and view fisheries research demonstrations (including electrofishing, fish netting, deep water fish sampling, fish tracking and water quality assessment). The public can also join an interpretive bog lake tour of Mystery and Spruce lakes or take an interpretive hike as a group around part of Escanaba and Pallette lakes (~3 miles round trip). Fisheries research professionals will be on hand to answer fisheries research questions and chat about other Wisconsin DNR fisheries research projects in the Vilas County area. 5pm-8pm: Live Music-Tony Cuchetti outdoors in the Aqualand Beer Garden.
6pm: Brat Fry at McGann’s Pub & Wine Bar across the street from the Street Party.
7pm to 10:30pm: Street Party with live music by Hip Pocket. The block on the east end of Main Street between Coontail and Sauter Builders/the Post office will be blocked off for the event. Lawn chairs are recommended. Beverages will served by American Legion Post 451.
8am: 5K & 10K Musky Fun Run. The day will begin at the Boulder Junction Baseball Park with the 5K & 10K Musky Fun Run as well as a 1K & 100-yard dash kids rash. DNR restrictions have been lifted, walk in registration now allowed day of race. Check-in and walk in registration from 7am-7:45am and the race begins at 8am. REGISTER HERE
10am: Musky Dedication next to the Chamber Office/Ballpark on Hwy M. Official dedication and naming of the Musky Capital of the World’s new mascot.
11am-3pm: Boulder Junction Historical Society History Day at the Community Center. Free admission from 11am-2:30pm. Historical presentation and more (topic and presenter to be announced). Proceeds benefit Boulder Junction Area Historical Society. Donations appreciated. Historical Museum and Depot tours available.
3pm-5pm: Live Music – The Musky Brother, Dan Wallender at Peeple’s Park.
7pm-10pm: Live Music – Tony Cuchetti outdoors in the Aqualand Beer Garden.
8am-5pm: Main Street/Hwy M South of Town CLOSED to all vehicles, including bikes, motorcycles & skateboards. Shuttle busses will not be running this year, however, wagon rides will be available at designated drop of and pick-up locations. Golf carts will be available.
9am-3pm: 29th Annual Musky Jamboree Car Show, at Highway M North and Main Street. This show is an opportune chance for new and experienced competitors to shine. Car Show awards will be announced at 2:30pm.
9am-4pm: Arts & Crafts Show. Over 100 artists fill Main Street and Hwy M South at our Musky Jamboree Arts & Crafts Show including furniture , fine art, jewelry and many other handcrafted items.
Additionally, the Lions Club Flea Market will be held on the Community Center grounds. Local service groups and area restaurants will line the streets with food and beverage concessions.
Be sure to bring the kiddos over to the Kid’s Zone on Highway M South by the Boulder Bear Motor Lodge. Kid’s Zone rides and games will include: Bungee Jump, Shoot & Shower Basketball Game, Goldfish Toss and Train Rides.
10am-2pm: Kid’s Casting Contest. In The Musky Capital of the World®, fishing takes center stage with a Kids Casting Contest from 10am-2:00pm. All children ages 5 to 14 are encouraged to show off their casting skills and compete for prizes at the West end of Main Street near the Car Show. Prizes awarded at 2:15pm.
Be sure to stop by the Meet the Guides Booth located next to the Kids Casting Contest area for tips on fishing and to meet some of the local guides.
10am-2pm: Musky Day Fly-In. Held at the Payzer Memorial Field located 2 miles north of Main Street, watch the numerous colorful planes of all varieties take off and land at the airport on Boulder Lake.
11am-2pm: Northern NoMads on the east end of Main Street.
11am: Jeff Eisberner – Rock and Country Vocalist/Keyboard by the Boulder Beer Bar.
1pm-3pm: Steve Matier and the O’Bros at McGann’s Pub & Wine Bar.
2:15pm: Kid’s Casting Contest Awards announced by Car Show at Highway M North and Main Street.
2:30pm: Musky Day Car Show Awards
The Musky Jamboree will end at approximately 4pm on Sunday.
