It’s almost time for one of Boulder Junction’s signature events: Musky Jamboree, a three-day celebration that attracts thousands of visitors to the Northwoods of Wisconsin every summer. Here’s what you need to know about this iconic event.

Musky Jamboree is a three-day summer festival in Boulder Junction that features lots of fun activities, including fishing workshops, a fishing tournament, a block party with live music, a 5K/10K fun run, a car show, an arts & crafts show, and much more.

What happens at Musky Jamboree?
A lot! This three-day festival has something for everyone, whether you’re looking for fishing instruction, live music, or a fun craft show.
On Friday, the festivities kick off with a free musky fishing workshop from the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources—participants who register in advance will even have a chance to go musky fishing with a mentor on a lake in Boulder Junction. Interested anglers can also participate in the Musky Capital of the World Fishing Tournament, which takes place on Friday and Saturday. The fun continues Friday night with the Musky Jamboree Street Party, which closes off a block of Main Street for live music and refreshments.
Saturday’s events include the 5K & 10K Musky Fun Run (act fast—registration closes August 8), day two of the Musky Capital of the World Fishing Tournament, and Boulder Junction Historical Society History at the Boulder Junction Community Center, which will feature a BBQ & brat sale, bake sale, raffles, and a kids’ coloring contest.
Sunday is the busiest day of the weekend with a couple of the festival’s signature events: the 32nd Annual Musky Jamboree Car Show and the Musky Jamboree Arts & Crafts Show, which features more than 100 artists, including painting, woodworking, jewelry, and more. Other notable events on Sunday include the kid’s casting contest and the Musky Day Fly-In at Payzer Memorial Field.
