Summer events you shouldn’t miss in Boulder Junction

You probably know all about Boulder Junction’s big annual events, but our friendly Northwoods community is also home to some great weekly events throughout the summer where you can find live music, delicious food, great shopping options, and much more. Here’s a closer look.
Boulder Junction Block Party
Head to downtown Boulder Junction every Wednesday for an evening of summer fun. Running through mid-August, the Boulder Junction Block Party kicks off at 4pm every Wednesday and includes several exciting events:
- 4pm: Guide on the Side, Northern Highland Sports – Learn tips and tricks for fishing success in Boulder Junction with these free presentations from local guides. These experienced experts are here to help you find the fish, and topics include everything from musky fishing to jigging for walleye.
- 5pm: Shrimp Boil at Boulder Beer Bar – Enjoy a delicious shrimp boil outside the Boulder Beer Bar every Wednesday night. Stop by after Music on Main Street and enjoy the sounds of local musician Jeff Eisberner, who will be playing from 7:30 to 10:30pm every Wednesday.
- 5:30-7pm: Musky Riders Custom Car Cruise Night, Cty Hwy M – Check out classic cars at this weekly event sponsored by the Boulder Junction Musky Riders ATV/UTV Club. Trophies are awarded every week for Best Ride, and the event takes place along Cty Hwy M across from the Veterans Triangle in Boulder Junction.
- 6-9pm: Music on Main Street, Peeple’s Park – Grab a seat (be sure to bring a lawn chair or blanket) and enjoy live outdoor music right next door to Peeplelures for this fun concert series that has been entertaining visitors and locals alike for more than 15 years. Music on Main Street hosts musicians across a wide array of genres, from classic rock covers to acoustic tunes.
Lions Club Weekly Summer Craft & Flea Market
Every Tuesday, you can find hidden treasures from crafters and other vendors at this large outdoor craft and flea market, which is held from 8am to 2pm at the Boulder Junction Community Center, 5836 Park St. The market runs from June through August, and homemade baked goods and sliders from the Boulder Junction Lions Club are also for sale.
Other Boulder Junction events on the horizon include:
- Musky Jamboree, August: Three days of fun events, including a street party on Friday night, 5K/10K, the Musky Jamboree Car Show, an arts & crafts show with 100+ vendors and much more
- Colorama, September: Colorama weekend includes an annual arts & crafts fair with dozens of vendors as well as the Colorama Dinner, which benefits local youth programs and scholarships
