Camp Jorn’s Day Camp, located in Manitowish Waters, WI, is seeking Day Camp Counselors for the Summer of 2024. As a kitchen assistant, you would work closely with the camp cooks to manage the coordination, delivery, and clean-up of dining services to the campers and staff. Kitchen Assistants must be at least 16 years of age. Earn $400 per week with onsite housing included or a $100 weekly bonus if you live off site! Maintenance Staff (16+): The Maintenance Assistant plays a key role in ensuring the safety and physical upkeep of the designated buildings and grounds, while maintaining a clean and neat appearance. Attention to detail, technical know-how, problem solving, and safety is key for this position. Maintenance Assistants must be at least 16 years of age. Employment dates are June 2nd-August 16th, 2024. Earn up to $400 per week with onsite housing provided or a $100 weekly bonus if you live off site! Summer Day Camp Support Specialist (18+): Camp Jorn is looking for three day camp support specialists for the summer of 2024, offering a chance to earn up to $21 per hour. This role involves working closely with group day camp counselors to ensure the well-being of campers with special needs, such as mild to moderate ASD, ADHD, mood or anxiety disorders, and Down syndrome, in an inclusive camp environment. Candidates must be at least 18 years old, have experience or interest in working with children with special needs, attend staff training from June 2-9, 2024, and commit to working Monday to Friday from June 10 to August 16. Room and board may be provided.

Camp Manito-wish YMCA is a 106-year-old overnight camp located in Boulder Junction, WI focusing on wilderness tripping and leadership development. Serving over 4,000 participants annually, this position provides overall direction to Summer Camp Program, Dining Services, and related support areas to ensure that all delivery systems are of the highest quality, engages strategic planning, and incorporates character and leadership development through the Manito-wish collaborative leadership model. Programs include a high emphasis on wilderness tripping (canoeing, backpacking, and kayaking) as well as but not limited to: Archery, riflery, horseback riding, mountain biking, crafts, nature, sailing, boating, swimming, and challenge course activities. The Camp Director ensures program excellence and creates a culture of belonging for all campers and staff through the Manito-wish collaborative leadership model, character development and wilderness travel.
